Face resurfacing

ACTION II is the Erbium:YAG laser skin resurfacing treatment utilising fractional ablative laser for skin tone, texture and elasticity.

The laser works by operating three different modes:

  1. Normal mode: to target specified lesions.
  2. Fractional mode: where laser beam is divided into thousands of microscopic treatment zones ensuring less thermal damage to surrounding tissues while at same time achieving resurfacing of skin layer by layer.
  3. Long pulse: for heating underlying tissue for collagen induction and boosting to achieve improvement in skin elasticity.

Erbium:YAG laser treatment may be used for:

  • Skin texture concerns. This can be due to intrinsic factors and extrinsic factors, such as atrophic photoaging or hypertrophic photoaging.

  • Enlarged pores correction. Can be seen in all ages, and all ethnicities. A Treatment for this condition is Erbium:YAG laser as the device penetrates at a precise depth targeting enlarged pores.

  • Acne scars correction. Erbium:YAG helps in acne scar remodelling and resurfacing, especially for atrophic scars.

  • Skin elasticity improvement by utilising Long pulse in delicate areas, under eyes, lips, jowl lines.

  • Scar resurfacing, Surgical scars, acne scars.

  • Seborrheic keratosis.
  • Viral warts removal.

What to expect

What does the treatment involve?

Treatment is performed under topical anesthetic. The treatment is planned as per patient presentation and requirements. A consultation is provided prior to every treatment to discuss risks, benefits and treatment suggestions.

Who can have this treatment?

Anyone above the age of 18. This treatment is not suitable for those who are pregnant, bleeding problems, active infection, certain medical conditions that will be ruled out during an in-person consultation.

Pre and/or Post care information

Precise advice and information will be provided to you during your consultation. After laser treatment, skin will become dry, and the peeling will start.

The peeling can be mild to medium, and it can last anywhere from 2-4 days on average. Peeling is different from person to person but generally you can expect it to start peeling from the middle of the face towards the periphery.

During first 3 days, client is requested to stay indoors, strictly avoiding sun exposure and outdoor activities as new healthy top layer of skin is regenerating.

Post procedure aftercare instructions and medication is provided by clinic.
